Behind the Scene With Oma: The Joys of Creative Stashes

Behind the Scene With Oma: The Joys of Creative Stashes

🌞 Happy Sunday, beautiful souls!

If you’re a creative spirit, what I’m about to share might feel very familiar.

The Stashes That Spark Joy

🧵 Fabric – A cabinet full of pretty fabrics bought on sale, snippets from past projects, buttons, threads… little treasures waiting for their moment.

💎 Beads – Containers brimming with colors and textures. Some strands were used right away, others have been patiently waiting for years. I’ve sorted, resorted, and admired them countless times. They whisper joy every time I open their boxes.

🧶 Yarn & Crochet Thread – Oh, my weakness! If I had the space, I’d be a Yarn Dragon with a hoard of colors, textures, and hooks galore.

🎨 Paints – Acrylics (my favorite), oils, and watercolors tucked into a big box of vibrant possibilities.

🪵 Wood Pieces – A round hatbox hides cutouts and boards, with my wood-burning tool nestled among them. They whisper, “Come play with us,” and I smile.

✨ Resin & Molds – My newest addition. I haven’t mastered them yet, but the ideas are flowing!

Why These Stashes Matter

It’s not about hoarding—it’s about having what I need when inspiration strikes. Colors, textures, and patterns combine to send blessings to whoever receives my creations.

When I make jewelry, I weave in color magic and number patterns—visible to those who know, energetically beneficial to all.

My Creative Sanctuary

🛏️ Everything happens in my bedroom—my “Portal Room”—surrounded by wall hangings that transport me into imagination.

🎶 Music or feel-good movies play in the background.

🕯️ Candles burn when I can afford them, filling the air with soothing scents.

I only create when my mind is calm and happy because I believe energy flows into every piece. Positive vibes only!

When Materials Speak

Yes, they do! Sometimes I start with one idea, and the project transforms into something else entirely.

❄️ Example: Last night, silver and blue sparkly yarn (Winter Solstice vibes!) became a crochet flower ornament. Then it grew… and grew… until it wanted to be a hat. But no—it insisted on becoming a drawstring satchel bag. And so it shall!

Never a dull moment at Oma’s Corner, where colors and patterns patiently wait for their turn to shine.

🌻 Happy Sunday, beautiful souls. Go do something that awakens your creativity today!

With love,

Oma Regina
