When I created this one-of-a-kind, hand-crochet, fantasy-style, and woodland-inspired hat with attached slip-over neck warmer, I named it: "Forest Fairy Elf hat". Its earthy tones, unique structure, and texture, with its whimsical decorative elements, all made me think of something a mystical being might wear. 

This is free-style crochet. There was no pattern for it. Just acrylic yarn, my crochet hook, my two hands, and my imagination driving the process. 

Slow-process creation: 

From start to finish, it took me 36 hours of focused and intentional work to bring this wearable piece of magical art to you. Beads and yarn became an interconnected part of something fantastical for those who still carry magic, wonder, whimsy, and adventure in their heart.
